Jets vs Titans Second Half Thread

NFL: Tennessee Titans at New York Jets Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The first half of the New York Jets game against the Tennessee Titans is in the books, and the Jets trail the Titans 9 - 7.

The Jets opened the game weakly with a three and out on offense. The Titans took over and went on a methodical drive for a field goal and an early 3 - 0 lead, aided and abetted by a horrific Jets defensive play allowing a 26 yard screen pass for a first down on 3rd and 21.

The Jets went meekly again on their second drive and finished the first quarter with an inept 15 yards of offense. The Titans then went on another long field goal drive to take a 6 - 0 lead early in the second quarter.

The Titans tacked on another field goal for a 9 - 0 lead before the Jets finally got on the scoreboard with a long, efficient drive capped off by a Michael Carter touchdown run. Even with the one impressive drive the Jets managed just 87 yards of total offense in the first half and they have still not held a lead at any point in any game this season.

We go into the second half with the Jets trailing by two points. The Jets are in position to pull out their first win of the season if they can somehow string together a few scoring drives on offense.

Enjoy the second half everyone.
