Good morning, Gang Green Nation! The calendar has turned to October, and the New York Jets are still without a win. That makes three straight years of winless Septembers. Three straight years the playoffs were all but out of reach by the time October rolled around. Fortunately for the Jets the game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday should be their best chance yet for a victory. Both Julio Jones and A.J. Brown are out for the game, leaving Ryan Tannehill a motley collection of wannabes and never weres as targets. Derrick Henry presents a formidable challenge, but a one dimensional Titans offense is far better to face than an offense with Henry, Jones and Brown all healthy. The Titans defense has also been less than stellar. They haven’t generated turnovers and they haven’t been all that good against the pass. This presents Zach Wilson with a chance to regroup and start to turn things around after facing extremely tough defenses his first three games. If the Jets are not at least competitive at home in this game, that will not bode well for the rest of the 2021 season.
