New York Jets Flight Connections 10/17/21

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! On a Sunday when the New York Jets aren’t playing, good memories of the New York Sack Exchange come to mind. Seeing what the Jets are building on defense, perhaps that famed and feared defensive line of yore will finally have a successor worthy of a nickname. Quinnen Williams and John Franklin-Myers are probably better at putting pressure on the quarterback than Marty Lyons and Abdul Salaam were. Matching Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau is probably not in the cards, but next year if Carl Lawson comes back fully healthy and if the Jets take a talented edge rusher in the 2022 NFL draft, we might really have something. A unit that could be the best in the NFL if things break right would be a nice start to rebuilding this moribund franchise. Just something to dream about on a Sunday morning.
