On the development of the Jets:
Even more important than the W... just barely, lol, is the very obvious ascent of a number of young players, especially on D. Bryce Huff is a GD man, dude can ball. Quinnen Williams is who we hoped he would be. Bryce Hall is a straight baller. MC3 is a straight baller. Echols might just be my new favorite player (kid is utterly fearless). Quincy Williams... where did that come from? And CJ is a dog, OG style. Corey Davis is a nice piece. Crowder is so much better than his numbers and I’m pretty excited about Carter the RB. I LOVE that a dude near my size always seems to fall forward, BIG heart on 32. And ZW... for the love of all that’s holy, get him outside the pocket and let him create. It’s amazing how one lone W can alter your perspective. J, E, T, S...

Frustrating loss, but I’ll make a silver lining:
During the Gase era, whenever the Jets would fall behind by a couple scores, it always felt like the team (and coaches) quit. Down 20-3 at the half, with few positives to look back on in the first half, it could have been very easy to admit early defeat. But they didn’t. The youngest team in the NFL clawed back in the 2nd half, making it a 3 point game midway through the 4th. They made it a game. They were one 3rd & 13 conversion away from getting the ball back down by only 1 score. Don’t get me wrong. There were plenty of frustrating moments. But it’s part of the process.

I understand that people are upset. No one wants to lose. But man, we are five games into a first year of a new offensive and a new defensive system. And we only won 2 games last year. We have a rookie HC, OC, DC and QB. This is what on the job training looks like. People are ready to bail on Saleh already!?! that does not compute. We bailed early on Pete Carroll after one season. How does that feel now? We’re Josh Allen and Sean McDermott great out of the gate? No. We’re manning and Dungy great out of the gate? No. We are going to lose a bunch more games too. Zach, Saleh, LeFleur and Ulbrich need to develop into their roles, and I believe they can and will. We have one less win than the Chiefs right now. And some of our young guys are showing that they can play in this league. We have youth on the incline of their careers and we have tons of picks and cap space. Our future is still bright. Joe is playing the long game. We are already light years ahead of last season by my eye test. This losing is a part of that process, whether you enjoy it or not. Anyone who though we were going to be world beaters in September and October were nuts.

On Denzel Mims:
Last week our offense did well, so we really didn’t hear much about Mims not playing. But when we struggle like today and in limited chances Mims has the longest reception of the game, and then comes out right after, it just doesn’t make sense.
-Madrid above all
Can we bench LaFleur for a couple of games until he wises up and prioritizes Mims in the passing game?
-ToiletBowles
Right now, Corey Davis, Keelan Cole, and Elijah Moore have shown me next to nothing to deserving being starters. Mims needs to get more time. The kid is a baller and is being pigeon holed by this staff - which needs to be questioned harder.

On the bye week:
Just checking. There is no way the Jets can lose this weekend right?

On Marcus Maye:
Maye and the Jets aren’t a fit right now. Paying big money to a very good but non-playmaking safety about to hit 30 isn’t the direction the Jets are going in. On the other side Maye has been in the NFL for five years and probably wants to play on a good team. It happens. I just don’t get why people have to kick Maye on the way out the door. He’s been a quality player for us. I wish more of our Draft picks panned out like him.
