After trying out something new last week and handing out a game ball, this week we return to handing out an anti-game ball.
This week’s anti-game ball provides a bit of a challenge. There were few Jets who played well, but there were not many performances terrible enough to be obvious anti-game ball candidates.
With that in mind, this week we will go in a different direction. The tight end position has been a frequent problem this season for the Jets. The coaching staff has been adamant about trying to utilize it heavily, but the results have not been there. This was again the case yesterday.
Ryan Griffin played a season-high 91% of the offensive snaps

- 2 targets
- 1 catch
- 4 yards
- Jets did not even try to run behind him (0 rush attempts directed "left end" or "right end" in play by play)
It isn’t so much that Ryan Griffin was the worst player on the field for the Jets. It’s that his performance symbolizes a lot of went wrong with this team against Atlanta and what has gone wrong through the season’s first five weeks.
With that in mind, Griffin gets my anti-game ball this week.
Who gets yours?
