The Jets are at the start of another coaching search. Adam Gase was fired Sunday evening after posting a 9-23 record in his two seasons with the team.
Jets CEO and Chairman Christopher Johnson addressed the media yesterday about the coaching change and the path forward.
His comments left me in an unfamiliar place. For once I agreed with a lot of what he said and felt pretty good about his plan going forward.
On today’s podcast I go through some of my key takeaways from the press conference. It sounds like legitimate changes to the way the team conducts business might be on the way. The Jets will look for different things in a coach this time. A more qualified person is running the search, and the organizational structure could be revamped.
This might have been a dismal season, but the first day of the offseason shows some potential for a brighter future.
Thanks for listening.
