It’s over.
The 2020 season ended yesterday for the Jets in a 28-14 loss to the New England Patriots. The Jets finish the year 2-14 and will pick second in the NFL Draft.
The Jets also wasted no time making their coaching change. The long-expected firing of Adam Gase was announced last night. Gase ends his Jets career with a 9-23 record in two seasons. The team never seriously competed for a Playoff spot either year, starting 1-7 in 2019 and 0-13 in 2020.
On today’s podcast I discuss the change. From the day he was hired, it never felt to me like Gase had a chance of working out. I think the Jets wasted two seasons on him. The good news is the team has turned the page on an ugly era and has the tools to get a lot better quickly.
Thanks as always for listening to the show.
