Sunday Night Football, Week 17. Tonight the Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Football Team in the City of Brotherly Love.

The 6-9 Washington Football Team come into this game looking to wrap up the NFC East division title. A win or a tie against the Eagles will make the Football Team the division champs, with the concomitant playoff berth a nice perk of being the best of a terrible division. A loss by the Football Team would knock them out of the playoffs and hand the division over to the New York Giants, who at 6-10 would become the worst division champ in NFL history. The Football Team has lost two straight after winning the prior four games.

The 4-10-1 Philadelphia Eagles come into this game with nothing but pride to play for. The Eagles have lost six of their last seven games and have replaced their starting quarterback. One time franchise savior Carson Wentz was so bad this year he was benched in favor of Jalen Hurts. Hurts hasn’t exactly lit it up, but he has been an improvement over Wentz. The Eagles don’t really do anything well, with the 22nd ranked offense and the 21st ranked defense. They have yet to score 30 points in a game this season, while they have given up 30+ points six times.

This is a huge game for the Football Team and a nothing game for the Eagles. One would think that would heavily favor the Football Team tonight, but we have seen year after year that spoilers can be very dangerous for would be playoff teams late in the season. It’s the Football Team and the Eagles in the last Sunday Night Football game of the regular season. Enjoy the game everybody.
