Jets vs Patriots Game Thread

It’s the final week of the 2020 NFL regular season and the New York Jets are visiting the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Barring something extraordinary happening, this game will mark the last game of the two year tenure of head coach Adam Gase. For most Jets fans that has been two years too long. However, the Jets have shown some life at the end of this season. The Jets come into this game with a modest two game winning streak, looking to extend that to three games to close out the season. A win today against the Patriots in Foxborough would mark the first Jets win against the Patriots since 2015, and their first road win against the Patriots in nearly ten years, since their thrilling beatdown of Tom Brady and the Patriots in the 2010-2011 NFL playoffs.

The Patriots come into this game assured of their first losing record since the 2000 season. They are currently sporting a three game losing streak. The Patriots have not passed for as many as 200 yards in a game since November 22, and shockingly, they have only surpassed that modest mark three times all season. Perhaps even more shocking, the Jets offense has been better than the Patriots offense over the last five games by a whopping 50 yards per game. If ever there was a time the Patriots were ripe for an upset by the Jets in Foxborough, today would appear to that time. A Jets victory over the Patriots to end the season would be a sweet way to cap a miserable Jets season.

It’s the New York Jets and the New England Patriots in the last game of the season for both teams. Please leave your comments in the section cleverly marked “comments” below. Enjoy the game everybody.
