Jeremiah Mocks QB To The Jets at #2 Boca Raton Bowl - BYU v Central Florida Photo by Mark Brown/Getty Images

Daniel Jeremiah has just released his latest mock draft on and he has the Jets taking a QB.

Wilson has really flown up draft boards this year with his impressive play at BYU. I don’t think many draft heads had him as a potential top-5 selection this time last year.

Wilson is coming off a year where he threw for 2692 yards, 33 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions, his strong arm, accuracy, and ability to create plays out of nothing make him an intriguing option.

One thing to note here is that Wilson and BYU run an outside-zone running scheme, which is the scheme used in the Shanahan style offense that is expected to travel to New York next year under first time OC Mike LaFleur, he’s also the most accurate college QB off of play-action, which is another big aspect of the offense we’re expected to see next year.

I’m still 50/50 on Fields and Wilson, most people hold up Wilson’s lack of elite competition as a reason not to draft him, but you see a lot on tape that impresses you, and in his defense, he can only beat what’s put in front of him.

I’ve always said that I feel as though the Jets will do one of two things with this selection. They’ll either pick Wilson/Fields or they’ll trade it for a number of picks, Jeremiah has them picking the BYU man.

He also has the Jets taking Clemson RB, Travis Etienne at #23

How would you feel if the Jets selected Wilson at #2?
