Jets Podcast: Impressions of Robert Saleh’s Introductory Press Conference

The Jets introduced their new head coach yesterday. I think it is fair to say he was impressive.

What happened yesterday isn’t especially meaningful. Adam Gase didn’t fail because his introductory press conference became a meme. He failed because of what happened after that. Still I think it is fair for Jets fans to feel optimistic based on what they heard yesterday.

On today’s podcast I offer my thoughts on Saleh’s introduction. I thought there were a striking number of takeaways. Some were from ownership discussing the new organizational structure and the return of Woody Johnson. Saleh provided most of them, however. He offered us a glimpse into some of his philosophies for building a team. He also confirmed a number of important coaching hires. It was only a first day, but it was a good first day.
