We don’t have any official word from the Jets yet, however, Peter Schrager has another name for the Jets coaching staff.
He worked with Saleh and new offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur in San Francisco as offensive quality control coach between 2017 and 2019. Before joining the 49’ers he was a defensive assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs.
While in San Francisco he worked closely with George Kittle, along with other receivers and tight ends. He left the NFL in 2020 to join Karl Dorrell’s staff at Colorado as the TE’s coach.
Having worked under Andy Reid and Kyle Shanahan, he comes with some good experience from excellent systems.
He played his football at UCLA where he was a WR, finishing his 4 year career with 137 receptions for 1776 yards and 4 TD’s.
He’s a young, hungry coach who will be taking up his first positional position at the pro level.
