The Jets coaching search continues on. Despite rumors hinting that a hire was imminent, the team completed its second interview yesterday with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh. Saleh leaving town without a contract seemed to cause panic within certain portions of the fanbase, which I’m not sure was justified. The Jets moved on to giving Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith a second interview.

On today’s podcast I discuss the coaching search. I explain the many reasons I feel the panic over Saleh’s departure from the team facility is unjustified. After that I discuss some of the positives of each candidate the Jets have interviewed for the job. There are clearly no guarantees with this hire. There are numerous choices who probably would not do a good job, but I think each of the nine coaches the Jets have interviewed have intriguing positives.

Thank you as always for listening to the show.
