Despite some rumors that the Jets were totally focused on Saleh, it sounds like the search will continue.
Jets moving forward with their process. Robert Saleh not the only person they wanted more time with. Told they want to speak to Arthur Smith next, who Atlanta is very high on.

I have seen a lot of angst from Jets fans over Saleh leaving without a contract, and I can’t really say I understand why.
This entire thing is a process. There still is a real chance Saleh will end up getting the job. And if he doesn’t I’m not sure that would justify much anger at this point. It isn’t entirely clear who the best candidate is. Maybe it’s Saleh. Maybe it’s somebody like Arthur Smith or Brian Daboll. Maybe it’s somebody else completely. There’s a lot of guesswork with coordinators, and those of us who aren’t in the interview room are dealing with imperfect information.
There’s a good chance the Jets like Saleh but aren’t ready to hire him yet. Saleh also might want to look at all of his options before he commits somewhere.
