New York Jets Flight Connections 9/8/20

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Plenty of things happened over the extended weekend, but my biggest takeaway from it (and most expected), is that Gase does not have a playoff mandate for this season. This isn’t shocking, but disappointing considering how poor of a job Gase has done as a HC throughout his career. Speaking of the coach, Jets’ GM and HC Joe Douglas and Adam Gase were seen together yesterday on a Zoom call addressing the media. Joe Douglas said a bunch of things that will appease the fans; but nothing of actual substance - which was expected. Usually these sort of things are full of cookie cutter answers, with the goal being to add ‘good faith’ to the fanbase and provide some talking points for media outlets.
