On today’s podcast we close out the positional preview series by looking at the Jets secondary.
This is an area were the Jets have some pretty major changes from a year ago. Three of the five opening day starters from 2019 are gone. Trumaine Johnson and Darryl Roberts failed to live up to the money the Jets were paying them. Jamal Adams lived up to expectations, but his relationship with the team ultimately led to a trade for multiple first round picks.
The secondary has strengths such as the safety group (even without Adams) and slot corner. There are also some major question marks, namely at outside corner. There are also a number of young players the Jets could look to develop on their practice squad.
We talk about all of it on today’s show.
