Jets vs Colts Second Half Thread

The first half of the Jets game against the Indianapolis Colts is in the books, and the Jets trail the Colts, 17 - 7.

On offense, without all three of their starters at wide receiver, and missing both starting offensive tackles, the Jets moved the ball surprisingly well against a good Colts defense. Sam Darnold had an excellent first half if we ignore the two brutal interceptions he threw, one a pick six, the other in the end zone. Without those two interceptions the Jets might well be leading this game. It is a continuation of Darnold’s maddening habit of alternating between brilliance and terrible play.

On defense the Jets held their own. It was a bend but don’t break performance, as the Colts moved the ball but only scored 10 points on offense (the other 7 points were on Darnold’s pick six)

We go into the second half with the Jets trailing at halftime by double digits for the third straight week. If Darnold can play like he did in the first half, without the turnovers, the Jets just might have a chance in this game.

Enjoy the second half everyone.
