SNF: Packers vs Saints Game Thread

Sunday Night Football, Week 3. Tonight the Green Bay Packers travel south to the Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Saints.

This one features two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks on the back end of their respective careers.

In New Orleans Drew Brees has looked out of sorts so far this year as favorite target Michael Thomas has missed time due to injuries. The Saints once explosive offense has been relatively pedestrian and the Saints defense has struggled to stop the pass en route to a 1-1 record to start the season.

In Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers suffered through a few disappointing seasons recently, at least by his lofty standards, and there was talk his career may be winding down. So far this year Rodgers has put a stop to such talk, as he has been superb in the early going, with six touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 119 passer rating. The Rodgers-led Packers offense is ranked #1 in the NFL so far this year, and the defense has been solid. This Packers team looks like one of the early favorites for a Super Bowl berth in the NFC.

It’s the Packers and the Saints under the Dome in an intriguing week 3 matchup on Sunday Night Football.

Enjoy the game everybody.
