Jets Podcast: Where Do We Go From Here?

NFL: San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The 2020 NFL season could not have gotten off to a worse start for the New York Jets. The team is 0-2 and has been noncompetitive in both games.

On today’s podcast I give some thoughts about where the team can go from here.

Getting to this point took years of mismanagement and dysfunction. There are no easy solutions to fix the problems. There are some things the Jets can do now that might help a bit. In the big picture, fixing this franchise will take a bit of time and a lot of smart decisions. At the top it will require ownership to be more honest and realistic in its assessments. Every team is tempted to believe it is close. Frequently this belief is a mistake that leads to wrong and harmful decisions. That certainly has been the case with the Jets. The silver lining is the Jets do have resources to turn things around quicker than people realize, but they need to commit to thinking long term. I talk about all of this and more today.

Thanks as always for listening.
