As you can see there is bad news for the Jets. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been officially ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury. It seemed like we were trending in this direction after he sat out Thursday’s practice. The Jets had plenty of issues at wide receiver before losing Crowder, but now they will need to figure out how to deal with the San Francisco defense without him.
Linebacker Avery Williamson is listed as questionable. He was limited in practice all week. Williamson could help against San Francisco’s run game, but we will need to wait and see whether he will be able to suit up for a regular season game for the first time since 2018.
On the other side the 49ers are also dealing with injuries. Most notably, tight end George Kittle has been ruled out with a knee injury. The Jets will not have to figure out how to defend one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in football.
