“We have a roster we can win with if we stay healthy” - #Jets CEO Christopher Johnson— Connor Hughes (@Connor_J_Hughes) September 16, 2020
Look, the owner isn’t going to say anything negative after one game. Right or wrong, there isn’t going to be a coaching change so soon into the season. It just isn’t going to happen.
Still it’s tough for me to not take a step back and think about the absurdity of the situation. It’s kind of incredible we are at a point where the Jets feel the need to trot out their owner to give a vote of confidence to their coach a single game into the season. Somehow that’s the point we are at, however.
Even if the Jets score less points than the opposition, at least Adam Gase interacted well with the team in practice last month.
