New York Jets Flight Connections 9/16/20

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. With the Jets placing RB Le’Veon Bell on IR with a designation to return, there was suddenly a gaping hole at the position. Don’t fret however, as the team signed Kalen Ballage to the active roster yesterday. The Jets tried trading with Miami for Ballage before the start of the season but the plodding RB failed his physical which voided the trade completely. This signing goes hand in hand with what GM Joe Douglas has done since he took over the GM position, which is signing low-cost players. Unfortunately it’s hard to defend some of these signings as players with upside (outside of the OL perhaps). With the team facing the 49ers this Sunday, it seems like that game could be another disaster waiting to happen. Fortunately for the Jets, SF is also dealing with a plethora of injuries of their own so perhaps the Jets can get lucky and win a low scoring game. Anything is possible, I suppose.
