This is frequently referred to as overreaction week in the NFL.
People tend to draw sweeping conclusions after the first week of action. It is important to keep things in context, however. Each team has only played one game. While fans of 1-0 teams feel invincible, and fans of 0-1 teams feel hopeless, there is a lot of football left to be played. One win or one loss could be a total fluke.
On today’s podcast we examine overreaction week. I take a look at various conclusions people are drawing from the Jets’ loss the Buffalo Bills. I then offer my opinion about whether each is an overreaction or not. Mind you saying something is an overreaction is not necessarily the same thing as saying it is completely false. It is only saying we don’t yet have enough information to issue that verdict.
Thanks as always for listening to the show.
