CBS and FOX are the two networks that broadcast Sunday afternoon NFL games. There are two afternoon broadcast windows. The early window has games kick off around 1:00 pm Eastern. The late window kickoffs come at either 4:05 or 4:25 pm Eastern. Most weeks one network has a doubleheader broadcasting games in both the early and late windows. The other network broadcasts a single game to each region in one of but not both window.
In Week 1 FOX has a doubleheader while CBS will show one game to each region.
If you live in the New York area, you will see:
Jets at Bills early on CBS
Eagles at Washington early on FOX
Buccaneers at Saints late on FOX
...............................
The Jets and Bills are scheduled for a 1:00 pm Eastern kick on CBS. Andrew Catalon and James Lofton will call the game.
The broadcast footprint of this game is limited to markets that originate in New York State, Scranton, and Casper, Wyoming(?).
