Today we continue the podcast series previewing the 2020 Jets position by position. Our focus on this Monday is on edge rusher.
The edge is one of the most important positions in football. Some would argue it is second only to quarterback in importance. Nobody told that to past Jets front offices, though. While much attention has rightly been paid to the lack of investment in the offensive line, it should also be noted that the Jets have not spent a first or second round Draft pick on an edge rusher in over a decade.
This lack of investment has been a problem for the team, and it leaves things very unclear for 2020. The Jets brought back Jordan Jenkins in free agency. Kyle Phillips had a solid rookie year. Beyond that, there are a lot of question marks. We discuss them on today’s show.
Thanks as always for listening to the podcast.
