It was an eventful weekend for the Jets. There are changes to the roster involving two starters.
Linebacker CJ Mosley has opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and guard Brian Winters has been cut according to reports.
On today’s podcast I discuss the impact of these moves. These will both have salary cap implications for the Jets and affect what happens on the field. The on field impact will likely be felt much deeper by Mosley’s departure as he is the better player and was likely to take on a bigger role. The Jets signed Winters’ short-term replacement in the offseason, and he was part of some bottom of the league offensive lines in recent seasons.
