The Jets have been dealing with numerous injuries in training camp.
The other day Greg Van Roten suffered an oblique injury. He did return to practice on Saturday, albeit in a limited capacity.

In other positive news, James Burgess was also back at practice.
LB James Burgess (lower back) also back on the practice field and participating. #Jets got a handful of injured guys back today.

Breshad Perriman, however, did not return to practice. The Jets had targeted today as his return date.
Adam Gase on WR Breshad Perriman (knee), who didn't practice again today:

"It’s just the way his body’s reacting… It’s trying to get the swelling down. It’s trying to get him comfortable to run without any pain."
NYJ needs Perriman in a big way this season. If he can't go...
Jeff Smith, who has seen time working with the first team at wide receiver, added to the injury issues at the position. He suffered an apparent shoulder injury on Saturday.
Oh boy. #Jets WR Jeff Smith is hurt. Landed awkwardly and comes off favoring his shoulder.

Gase doesn’t sound optimistic about Jeff Smith.

You might remember the other day there was a bit of a discrepancy between Adam Gase and Le’Veon Bell about whether the running back had a hamstring injury. Gase addressed that after today’s practice.
Gase says he and Bell have talked at length about RB saying his hamstrings are fine, etc.
— Dennis Waszak Jr. (@DWAZ73) August 29, 2020
Gase says he was “caught off guard a little bit” by Bell going on social media to rant. Says he thought they had a better relationship than that. Says the two understand each other. #Jets
The rest of the injury report per Rich Cimini:
CB Brian Poole (dehydration) close to return...
Still out: WR Breshad Perriman (knee), WR Denzel Mims (hamstring), CB Pierre Desir (hamstring), LB Tarell Basham (ankle) and DE Jabari Zuniga (quad). Perriman still needs time for swelling to subside.
