New York Jets Flight Connections 8/29/20

Good morning, GGN! A little more than a week from today the Jets will be busy preparing for the opening day game against the Buffalo Bills. Final cuts will be made, waiver wire pickups may occur, a practice squad will be formed, perhaps some last minute trades will happen, all in the next week or so. Somehow it doesn’t seem quite real, with full squad practices having commenced just a couple of weeks ago and without any preseason action. Reports out of Jets camp have been sporadic, as the beat writers have not been invited to every practice, and practices have been suspended the last couple of days. The reports we have available have not been particularly encouraging, though some individual players, like Marcus Maye and Mekhi Becton, among others, have apparently impressed. It all makes for an unusually muddled picture for Jets fans heading into the season. All will be answered as the season unfolds, but for now we are left wondering about where the team is headed.
