The Jets worked Guerriero out over a week ago with an eye on signing him.
He was a big play threat playing college football at Monmouth. In his final college season, Guerriero posted a 6.7 yard average per rushing attempt. He also had 20 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards from scrimmage.
As always, it is best to keep expectations low for training camp signings of undrafted players. It seems much more likely that Guerriero is competing for a practice squad spot than playing much of a role for this season.
This is the second time in training camp Cioffi has been waived. The former CFL player was first let go on August 15, but the Jets brought him back a few days ago. His second stint with the team was short-lived.
