New York Jets Flight Connections 8/19/20

Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The team had a ‘rest’ day yesterday, primarily due to the plethora of injuries already suffered in camp thus far. With the off-season being vastly altered due to Covid-19, injuries were an expected product; and as we’ve discussed here ad nauseam, the team just doesn’t really have the depth to deal with it (outside of DL/LB). Some good news however is that three of the players who have the biggest spotlight on them (Darnold, Quinnen Williams, and Mekhi Becton), have been exceeding expectations in practice. Unfortunately this is only practice, but if it can manage to translate into the regular season then this team may have a puncher’s chance at success this year. My biggest concern is that the team uses Frank Gore way more than needed, but that’s a devil to deal with on another day. With that, here are your links to the Jets this Wednesday morning.
