Today we continue our positional preview series and focus on wide receiver.
The Jets are trying to develop a third year quarterback. Having quality receivers is important to help a young quarterback. In an ideal world a team finds pass catching targets the quarterback can develop chemistry with and grow for years. The Jets got that first building block this offseason with the selection of Denzel Mims in the second round of the NFL Draft. This is only Mims’ first year, however, and much work remains.
We discuss the wide receiver position for the Jets on today’s show, and it is a position with potential and question marks. Can players step and and provide Darnold with the reliable targets he needs? It could have a big impact on the success of the 2020 Jets.
