A few days back running back Frank Gore was held out of Jets practice with a hamstring injury. The veteran has returned to Jets practice and is making people notice him.

In less positive news, linebacker James Burgess sustained a back injury in a non-contact situation.

In other injury related news, rookies Denzel Mims and Jabari Zuniga were among those who missed practice. So were cornerbacks Pierre Desir and Brian Poole. Desir has been dealing with a hamstring injury while Poole was also held out of practice on Sunday due to dehydration.
Jets injury updates:

LB James Burgess left practice early after suffering lower back injury in individual drills.
DNP: Mims, Poole, Desir, Zuniga, Clark, Smith, Ross, Kaufusi
Among these are key players for the Jets. I think Mims would benefit the most from getting back onto the practice field as he learns the system for his rookie year and tries to gain chemistry with Sam Darnold. Some recent reports have suggested that the Jets feel Mims’ injury is not overly serious, which is a positive sign.
