Good morning, GGN! The Jets opened up camp to journalists for the first time in 2020 yesterday, and revealed that a number of Jets were suffering from injuries which kept them out of practice. Perhaps the most concerning such injury was Denzel Mims and his hamstring problem, which will keep him out of practice for an indefinite time going forward. While it does not sound at this point like this injury will keep Mims out for major parts of the regular season, Mims’ absence for any length of time both jeopardizes his opportunities to get comfortable with Adam Gase’s system and Sam Darnold, and leaves the Jets dangerously thin at wide receiver while Mims is out. Fingers crossed for a swift recovery by Mims.
