The Jets announced three players, Avery Williamson, Joe Flacco, and Ryan Griffin, will begin training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. The team also announced the placement of Daniel Brown on the Active/Non Football Injury (NFI) list and the release of Domenique Davis.
We've made the following transactions:
— New York Jets (@nyjets) July 30, 2020
- QB Joe Flacco, TE Ryan Griffin and LB Avery Williamson have been placed on Active/PUP
- TE Dan Brown has been placed on Active/NFI
- DL Domenique Davis has been released
Flacco indicated shortly after signing with the Jets that he was not expecting to be ready for the start of the regular season after undergoing offseason neck surgery. He said at the time he is hoping to return at some point in September. Williamson missed the entire 2019 season with a knee injury. Griffin’s 2019 season ended with ankle surgery.
Players can come off the PUP list at any point in training camp once they are ready to take the field. If a player remains on the PUP list as the regular season begins, however, they will need to sit out at least six weeks.
