Podcast: Reaction as the Jets trade Jamal Adams to the Seahawks

NFL: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Over the weekend the Jets traded star safety Jamal Adams and a future fourth round pick to the Seattle Seahawks. In return the Jets received two first round picks, a third round pick, and safety Bradley McDougald.

On today’s podcast we talk about the deal. Obviously whenever you give up a player of Adams’ caliber there are some negatives, but overall the Jets got an outstanding return. The package Seattle sent the Jets rivals what the Bears traded to the Raiders for Khalil Mack a few years ago. This move could provide the Jets with the Draft capital necessary to turbocharge their rebuild. The Jets gave up a lot, but they also got a lot. For where this team is right now, it feels like the right move. For the first time in a long time it seems like the Jets have a front office thinking long term instead of just about generating headlines.

Thanks for listening to the show.
