New York Jets Flight Connections 6/06/20

Good morning, GGN! The Jets will not be holding a minicamp this year. The cancelled minicamp goes along with the cancelled OTAs (repurposed to an online format) and cancelled rookie minicamp. As a result, no Jets players will see the field until the opening of training camp at the end of July. With training camp a whirlwind culminating in a hectic preseason schedule which commences after only roughly two weeks of practices, this year will entail an extra level of difficulty for Jets rookies and newcomers. Of course, the Jets are not alone in this dilemma, as all NFL teams have had their activities disrupted by the ongoing pandemic. However, the Jets probably are counting on more rookies and newcomers than the average team, so it all makes for the possibility of a rough start to the season as the Jets try to gel in the face of unusual obstacles.
