Rookies don’t produce in the NFL. There are some exceptions each year, but teams rarely see production from first year players in this league.
It shouldn’t come as any shock. Few players have fully developed their games at the point they enter the NFL. The few who are ready to contribute are exceptions. They typically go in the first round or two of the Draft for that reason. Most rookies have to improve some aspect of their game to make a positive impact in the league.
On today’s podcast I discuss what Jets rookies will need to improve to succeed on the field. Some Draft picks like Mekhi Becton and Denzel Mims figure to see extensive playing time as rookies, but there are still things they need to work on. Other Draft picks likely will not see much playing time until they improve the things I talk about.
Thanks for listening.
