New York Jets Flight Connections 6/22/20

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Shout out to Mr. Wells for holding down the fort over the weekend, and I hope all the fathers out there had a terrific Father’s Day yesterday. 2020 1st round selection Joe Burrow is getting a comparison to Sam Darnold, but not for the reasons you may think. Colin Cowherd (stout Sam Darnold supporter) doesn’t have confidence in Joe Burrow succeeding in Cincinnati for the same reasons that Sam Darnold hasn’t necessarily succeeded in New York. Bad coaching, players, and front office are all a factor; a point that has been driven here at the boards of GGN for a while now. While I think it’s premature to say either Quarterback will ‘bust’, these factors can cause concerns about a player’s development and growth going forward. For Darnold specifically, this year could mean everything in terms of determining his future with the Jets.
