Quincy Enunwa and Josh Bellamy placed on reserve/PUP list, won’t play this season

Ian Rapoport reports the Jets have placed wide receivers Quincy Enunwa and Josh Bellamy on the reserve/PUP list. Neither will play for the team this season.

This comes as no great shock. Enunwa has only played twelve games in the last three seasons and suffered two neck injuries along the way. It felt like the Jets would have to go into 2020 expecting little and viewing anything Enunwa could provide as a bonus.

Bellamy was placed on injured reserve in November with a shoulder injury. He did not project to be a part of the Jets’ future, although I do not believe the extent of his injury was known at the time. In any event, he only had 2 catches for 20 yards last season so he was not a big part of the passing game.

Enunwa is set to count $7.8 million against the salary cap while Bellamy’s cap number is $2.25 million.
