New York Jets Flight Connections 5/20/20

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Ever since the Jets have been linked to CB Logan Ryan, things have been completely quiet on the FA front. There’s a possibility that GM Joe Douglas is waiting until June when they receive more cap from Trumaine Johnson’s cut, but nothing’s certain. With plenty of solid players left available in FA, it’s surprising to me that Douglas hasn’t done some more bargain hunting in positions that could use the depth. For example, Prince Amukamara just signed a 1-year, 1M base salary deal; something I consider a steal given his overall play. If players of that caliber are signing at those prices, I think Douglas should try and ‘collect’ as many as possible to compete in camp; especially at the CB, Edge, and OL positions. It seems the team is trying to push hard for a playoff birth this year, so Douglas should exhaust all options. We’ll see how it pans out going forward.
