New York Jets Flight Connections 5/13/20

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. It’s been reported by Manish Mehta that the Jets believe they will be signing former Titans’ CB Logan Ryan to a 1-year contract. Ryan is primarily a slot CB, but don’t be shocked if he moves to the outside. Ryan is a player that could fit in Gregg Williams’ scheme, and would be another new addition to the secondary this off-season. Douglas has handed out a lot of ‘prove it’ contracts in his first off-season as GM and I think it has the ability to be worthwhile for the Jets. Since most of these players aren’t complete scrubs, it adds to the competition level while providing depth in case someone goes down. It also lets the team recognize if a player should be retained in the following off-season or let go. Hopefully the Jets get lucky and more players pan out than not.
