Jets Mailbag: What Expectations Exist for Denzel Mims’ Rookie Year?

Today is our first podcast mailbag since the 2020 NFL Draft took place. The Jets added nine new players through their selections and another through trade last weekend. Now we start thinking about the next season. Thanks to all who sent in questions. There were an enormous number this week so I unfortunately could not get to all of them. Please feel free to resend your question for the next mailbag if it went unanswered this week.

On today’s show we discuss additional signings the Jets should make, whether offensive line Frank Pollack will be able to develop the young talent the Jets drafted, whether the team only picking one receiver was an expression of confidence in the guys already here, what to expect from Denzel Mims as a rookie, the validity of certain criticisms of the team’s Draft approach, whether Adam Gase’s job would be in jeopardy with a bad season, whether Avery Williamson or Henry Anderson are trade candidates, and whether the Jets should have waited until the second round to take an offensive lineman.

Thanks for listening.
