New York Jets Flight Connections 4/30/20

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky made a bold statement yesterday saying that he feels Jets’ QB Sam Darnold is the best QB prospect since 2018. This is over players such as Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Joe Burrow. This is top praise and definitely something fans like to hear. But while I do think Darnold is at least top 5 in that category, putting him ahead of the current MVP in Lamar Jackson is sort of absurd. Even with a better cast I’m not sure Darnold could ever have the type of production Jackson did. Perhaps Sam can turn in an MVP-caliber season in his own right, but I’m not sold on that yet. This year will show a lot in terms of what the future will hold for him and the Jets, so let’s try and enjoy the ride and hope for the best.
