The New York Jets have selected Jabari Zuniga out of the University of Florida with the 79th overall pick in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. This is the third pick for the Jets on Day 2 of the NFL draft, the second of three Jets third round picks, and the fourth pick for the Jets overall.

Jabari Zuniga is a 6’ 3”, 265 pound edge defender. Zuniga has great strength and outstanding explosiveness, the raw materials to make an excellent edge rusher. However, Zuniga is very raw, with limited instincts and slow play recognition. Zuniga had a disappointing college career with limited production, ending in a season hampered by a high ankle sprain. Jabari Zuniga projects as a possible plus edge rusher, but only if the Jets coaches can significantly improve the less developed aspects to his game.

Welcome to the Jets Jabari Zuniga. The Green and White is happy to have you.

The Jets remaining picks in the 2019 NFL draft are as follows:

Third Round: Pick #101

Fourth Round: Pick #120

Fifth Round: Pick #158

Sixth Round: Pick #191

Sixth Round: Pick #211
