The New York Jets have selected wide receiver Denzel Mims out of Baylor University with the 59th overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft. After rumors flew that the Jets were attempting to trade up in the second round of the draft, ultimately the Jets traded down and drafted Mims at #59.
Denzel Mims is a 22 year old, 6’ 3”, 205 pound wide receiver who has outstanding body control, speed, height and catch radius. He is a work in progress as a route runner and may need a year to adjust to the increased level of competition from NFL defensive backs, but Mims projects as an eventual alpha receiver for the Jets.
Welcome to the Jets Denzel Mims. The Green and White is happy to have you.
