Jets Pick Jedrick Wills in SB Nation Writers Mock Draft

Each year SB Nation asks all of its team sites in the NFL to play the role of general manager in a mock draft.

Today we got to pick 11. Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Jeff Okudah, Tristan Wirfs, Tua Tagovailoa, Isaiah Simmons, Derrick Brown, CeeDee Lamb, Andrew Thomas, and Mekhi Becton went in the top ten.

The choice for this pick when Joe Douglas is on the clock will likely come down to wide receiver. In this scenario the pick comes down to Alabama teammates Jedrick Wills and Jerry Jeudy. Wills is last of the top four consensus tackles available. Jeudy is in the running with Lamb for consensus top wide receiver.

I ultimately choose Wills because of the depth of this year’s wide receiver class and the urgency of fixing the offensive line. For too long the Jets have put off investing early picks in the offensive line, and that finally brought the offense to a standstill a year ago.
