The 2020 NFL Draft is less than two weeks away. It feels like we say this every year, but the Jets are hoping it’s the first step on the road to rebuilding the roster and launching a new era.
When a team is on the clock there are many factors that go into a pick. One of them is how they feel about their current roster. Passing on a player at a given position is sometimes a sign of confidence in what the team currenly has at a position. Sometimes picking a player is a sign the team is getting ready to move on from a player at the same position.
On today’s podcast we focus on what the Jets’ Draft strategy in 2020 might mean for players already on the roster. Picks or a lack of picks at wide receiver, cornerback, tackle, safety, and running back in particular might send a signal about the team’s plans for 2020 and 2021.
Thanks for listening.
