Joe Douglas hints the Jets might not be done adding offensive linemen (and other observations)

NFL Combine - Day 2

Jets general manager Joe Douglas spoke with the media today on a conference call. Here are some of the highlights.

On the offensive line...

I think offensive line is the top priority for the Jets. The issues on the offensive line are similar to those on the rest of the roster. The Jets have lacked both competent role players and game-changing young talent. It seems like the strategy is to add the role players through free agency. The game-changing young talent will need to come through the Draft. The line is the place to start.

Any statements made on April 1 could be a smokescreen, but if the Jets pick a tackle early in the Draft it seems like a competition will be in the works.

It seems like the Jets are still sorting out how their line will ultimately look. The Draft will play into that.

Generic GM speak...

On injury rehab...

On a Jamal Adams contract extension...

On the wide receiver position...

Cue joke about swampland in Florida being for sale if you believe the Jets are satisified with their current group of wide receivers.
