We are nearing the start of the new league year in the NFL. The Jets will make another attempt at upgrading their roster within the next few weeks in free agency. Later in the spring the NFL Draft looms.
On today’s podcast we look at the Jets roster to see where the needs are. As I frequently state, I don’t think you can solely look at needs through a positional lens. Certain roles can be filled by players at more than one position. That doesn’t make positional designations totally useless, though. If a certain spot on the field is a weak point, it makes sense to try to upgrade it.
The Jets aren’t totally starting from scratch. They have strengths on the roster, notably at safety and the defensive line. Other spots will need to be retooled, though. We will discuss them today.
Thanks as always for listening to the podcast.
