According to multiple reports the New York Jets have agreed to terms on a one year deal with former Ravens linebacker Patrick Onwuasor.
Patrick Onwuasor is a 27 year old (28 in August), 6’ 0”, 230 pound linebacker out of Portland State. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens in 2016 and he has spent his entire NFL career thus far with the Ravens organization. Onwuasor has some speed for a linebacker, having run a 4.62 forty yard dash in the 2016 draft process.
With the Ravens Onwuasor played in 57 games in four years, with 32 starts. His best year came in 2018, when he amassed 59 tackles, 5.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, 12 quarterback hits, three passes defended, two forced fumbles and an interception. In addition to his duties at linebacker, Onwuasor has been a key contributor on special teams with the Ravens, seeing 626 special teams snaps over the last four years.
